OUR MISSION:

Stop Human Trafficking International Inc. (SHTI) is dedicated to bringing an end to human trafficking through our three-pronged approach – Education, Prevention and Intervention. This vitally important effort provides information and resources to our partners in the civilian as well as law enforcement communities domestically and abroad. We also partner with other private organizations by providing funding and hands-on technical and tactical resources to facilitate the end of Human Trafficking activities worldwide.

    The University of Miami Miller School of Medicine established a multidisciplinary medical clinic, called THRIVE (Trafficking Healthcare Resources and Interdisciplinary Victim Services and Education), to respond to the health care needs of survivors of human trafficking.

    Project Phoenix Recovery Unit (Miami): Located at Camilla's House, this unit offers specialized recovery care for adults (18+), including substance abuse treatment and mental health support.

    FLITE Center (West Palm Beach & Central Florida): Provides trauma-informed services, including on-site wellness support, mental health counseling, and medical care navigation.

    Children’s Advocacy Centers: Offer forensic exams and crisis intervention for minors (under 12) in locations like Orange and Osceola Counties.

    Hospital Partnerships: Tampa General Hospital is a notable example of a facility trained to assist victims, often working with the Florida Attorney General’s office.

    Comprehensive Support: Survivors can access care through the National Human Trafficking Hotline (1-888-373-7888) or by contacting the Florida Department of Health.

    These providers focus on trauma-sensitive care to help survivors with physical injuries, mental health, and rehabilitation.

The Diocese of St. Augustine offers various programs and resources to combat human trafficking in the community. These include workshops, educational videos, and a national public awareness campaign. The Office of Human Life & Dignity provides advocacy and education on human trafficking, while the Northeast Florida Human Trafficking Coalition works to eradicate the crime. The USCCB's Anti-Trafficking Program offers training and technical assistance to support survivors and advocates for the end of modern-day slavery. The Most High Mission Anglican Synod & Global Impact Mission Diocese

Archbishop Santhana Peter oversees anti-human trafficking efforts of The Most High Mission Anglican Synod & Global Impact Mission Diocese. With their international headquarters located in India. ++Peter presides over 557 Anglican clergy and 22 Bishops in South Asia, ++Peter and has developed outreach programs and resources within his organization to identify, locate and care for victims of human trafficking in Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Pakistan, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, and the Maldives.
